Purple popping pout!

I wore this outfit last week to an over due catch up lunch with a group of friends. On this day the sun was shining hard and like many Londoners desperate for some warm weather, I was fooled by the sun shining hard against my window. So much so I stepped out of the house wearing only my gilet over a metallic top and jumper. I regretted my choice the second I stepped one heel out of the door and I mean seconds! I quickly woke up and ran back home to get my bumble bee aka one my warmest faux fur coats, that was definitely the best decision I made that day.

Although seriously when are we going to have some real spring weather? Answers on a postcard please. Spring is definitely taking its sweet time BUT if we allow ourselves to trust the weather man, word is that we are due to get some spring weather this weekend, Yay!

Anyway no more weather talk. Lets focus on more important things like my lippy. I have had this purple lipstick for ummm, about 2 months, I recently rediscovered it and I have been wearing it a lot! It is from Sleek MakeUp and costs only £4.99. I do love to wear a bright lip as it just adds a bit of fun to any outfit.

Bright lips are a key beauty trend for SS13 but I guess not for the faint hearted. The trick is to find the right shade for your skin tone and then you are sorted.

I will confess that I do own a ridiculously bright shade of orange that I am saving for the right occasion and I guess the right outfit, AND I am sure I also own a blue-purple shade but lets save that for another blog post.

My LWD

Today was the first day of Pure London in Olympia. I attend Pure every season and  I always enjoy  going!!  I love the variety of brands exhibiting, the seminars and workshops , Q&A's and of course watching the catwalk shows.

 I am always keen to attend the WGSN forecast presentations and  the WGSN  catwalk shows. Today due to a slight alarm  hick up,  I woke up way later than I planned too BUT  I managed to get to Pure just in time for the  WGSN  Trend Forecast for 2013 , Yay!  Thank goodness I planned my outfit the night before.

As I knew it was going to be another HOT day I wanted to wear one of my many summer items that I still have not had  the chance to wear due to our crazyyyyy summer this year. In the end I opted for my white ruffle BCBG  dress, simply because I have never worn it before  (don't ask me why). I teamed my little white dress (LWD) with one of my favourite pairs of shoes: tribal-esque wedges, my new bag and of course a bright red lip.

Highlight of  Pure?

- The WGSN catwalk show that consisted of lots of  gorgeous prints, ahh Roll on SS13!!

I also LOVED the  Q&A session with the incredibly Fabulous  Brix Smith- Smart, which I found SO inspirational!! I just love how passionate she is about  fashion. One of the many things she said that stick to my mind is 'follow your passion' as I  really believe that when you do follow your passion then you will shine and are unlikely to fail.

Purple Rain

Purple has always been one of my favourite colours so it is great that it is also one of the KEY colours for AW12. If you think back to the AW12 catwalk collections, for Designers such as House of Holland, Christopher Kane and Erdem, they were all pushing purple in their collections.

The best way to wear purple for AW12 I think is to mix it up with black and play with various textures such as lace, brocade and lots of sparkle. I do also love to wear purple with mustard as I love to clash it up as I am not really into looking too matchy, matchy.

I was recently sent a few clutch bags by a great brand called Etui. Both the clutch bags you see in the photo above are from Etui. The large croc skin ' Envelope' Clutch is one of their best sellers, The bag comes in 4 or 5 other colours and is priced at £79. Etui is a concession in Topshop Oxford Circus and Westfield. They are one of the best selling concessions in topshop and have a wide range of gorgeous bags. The company is owned by a Polish-English couple, and all bags are designed and produced in the UK.

Clutches are key accessory trend for AW12 so if you are after a new clutch or just a gorgeous bag that is a little different then I would recommend popping down to Etui. I can pretty much guarantee that A) you will LOVE your purchase and B) you will be thanking me later.

Love at first sight

A few weeks ago I purchased this gorgeous yellow blazer from H&M  (below) and I will admit it was definitely a case of love at first sight. 

Yellow is one of my top 3 fave colours to wear, with the other colours being pink and purple.  I have worn my new yellow beauty a few times and I love how it just adds that bright factor to any outfit. 

These pics below were taken last week Thursday when the sun was shining  and it was  ummm summer unlike today, grr did you see all that rain earlier and why is it so humid? I am hoping the sun reappears pronto!!!!!! Anyway weather rant over and now back to more important matters- my yellow blazer. So in the pictures below I teamed my blazer with a strapless leopard print body, leather with suede panel shorts, my necklace (which was last week's bargain of the week), pink suede heels and a lovely garnet, croc skin clutch. 

Those that know me and I guess regular readers of my blog will know I am a person that loves to clash colours, prints textures etc   I wore this outfit to a late lunch with my business partner (yes, I have a business partner, ahhhhh! she is a fab friend that is helping me with a new project that I will be revealing on here in a few weeks).

Feeling hot hot hot

I am REALLY, REALLY enjoying the sunshine!!!!!!!!! I am trying not to listen to all the talk about the sun disappearing on Friday.

At the moment I am a little obsessed  with my Celliana hair chain that I blogged about here.  I think its deffo great to wear when the sun is shinning. In the photo below I am wearing it with  a playsuit that I bought from the concession ZACK when they were in Topshop ummm yearssssssssssssss ago!!! I think it was back in 2008??  I remember paying about £20 for two as I also have the multi coloured version.


I teamed this playsuit with tan studded flat sandals( but you can not see them in this picture) and then swapped my sandals later for my yellow Zara  heeled sandals  that I blogged about  Here for after work drinkies

I am a big fan of clashing so although my sandals were yellow I opted for a purple/pink croc clutch bag that matched my lippy. The fab clutch is by a lovely accessory brand called Etui. They are a concession based in Topshop Oxford Circus and also in Topshop White city. They sell the most stunning bags. I will do a blog  post about their products later as they have kindly sent me some products .
