Word on the street: LFW

From velvet tux blazers worn with polka dot slip dresses to metallic slogan jackets teamed with suede, black vinyl skirts, blue lipstick, and fluffy shoes, bags... everything, forget the catwalks. The streets during fashion week are the place to nab serious style inspiration.

Watching, snapping, scrolling through photos of showgoers (and non-showgoers) bringing their A-game to the street is one of my favourite things about fashion month. It's also sort of the only legit time it’s ‘OK' to people watch.

In collaboration with Farfetch, I've rounded up are some of the best ensembles to hit the streets of London.

Let me know your faves x

Happy LFW

Helllooo peeps,

Ahhhh I just LOVE fashion week season! The frenzy, the parties, the inspiration and of course the fashion!!

I tend to look forward to the same shows each season such as Sass and Bide, Henry Holland, Felder Felder, Matthew Williamson, Peter Pilotte, Burberry and Topshop Unique.

My favourite shows  from day 1 were Sass and Bide and Felder Felder.

Sass and Bide
It is refreshing to see a AW collection with pops of bright colours as 'typically ' AW colours tend to be dark and a little dull. I remember when I used to be a  fashion buyer (sign),  when we were planning our colours for our AW range we always went for oxblood, black, teal and a splash of red, so this is why I probably fell in love with Sass and Bide's collection as it included pops of yellow which is such a refreshing and uplifting colour. Although overall the collection was beautiful, so many stand out pieces such as the maxi knitted dresses and the Grecian maxi were divine!

Yellow trousers? yes please!

Felder Felder
Hello slick leather/latex trousers! I have been swooning over the trousers in this collection since Friday and the velvet maxi coat. The collection had a sort of rock and rock vibe going on and it is definitely a very wearable collection. The Felder girls did well!

Other shows that  made me go wild were PPQ and Jean-Pierre Braganza ( from day 1)

Topshop unique and Preen have been my highlights from today and the Rihanna for River Island collection from yesterday. (post to follow)

On the mend and back in action

Firstly sorry for the lack of blogging,  last week I caught a silly cold, grrrrr and I spent pretty much of last week going to work all drugged up on Day and Night nurse and then straight home and straight to bed. Friday I was feeling 80% better and then 'Bam' the next day I was poisoned by (god knows what I ate) so I was vomiting non stop. BUT I feel better today, I am on the mend and I am back in action. I have lots to blog about this week so keep both your eyes peeled.

I hope you have been enjoying LFW! Some of my fave shows so far have to be Matthew Williamson, Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou and Topshop Unique. Oh and Ive just finished watching the Burberry show LIVE. Ha- no I didn't get a ticket (but hoping one day I will ), Grazia live and Burberry.com were streaming the show live on the Grazia website. It was such a fab show. Think: Cropped Trenches, cocoon jackets and short shorts (right up my street) and I just loved the finale; a spectrum of metallic trench coats.... BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
