Grab your hat...

Show me a wool fedora any day – especially one in a bright red hue and I'll snap it up. (Not before trying it on first though). This is exactly what happened when I came across this one in H&M, whilst browsing
(always the way) Ha!

Perfect for those flat hair/bad hair days, and for the drama that comes with this very unpredictable weather that we are currently experiencing. Grr! Seriously, Autumn aka Swinter is just, well a pain! Weather rant over.

So, back to this delightful, and somewhat loud hat...I love it! Here I've styled it with my favourite red suede heels (courtesy of a  very special someone. *Wink*), my beloved ripped knee skinnies (an old pair from Warehouse, I ripped the holes), and an old fave from my kimono collection. Here are the results....

Shout out to my bro Bird_boy for taking these snaps!

How are you dressing for Swinter?

These Streets will make you feel brand new...

I love a good bit of street art! The appeal? The unpredictability, the creativity, the grittiness...and when done well, it really can reach out and er, touch your soul if you know what I mean?
So when my friend Daniel (who happens to also be an amazing photographer), told me about a tunnel that he had recently discovered, packed with the coolest graffiti, well we had to go and check it out and of course dress for the occasion.

The results...

Street Style Swagger

I always get asked by people to sum up my style and I answer by saying that my style is a reflection of my personality; playful, quirky and unpredictable. I like to take a trend and spin it on its head by giving it what I call a 'Sheena twist'. I happily love playing with colour, texture and print and creating mix and mashups that probably shouldn't work, but do. More importantly, I never leave my house without the most important accessory; CONFIDENCE!!!

This brings me on to my look in this post. I picked up this glitzy jacket at a vintage sale last year. I rumbled through one of the bargain boxes (I love a good ol' vintage rummage) at the sale and I was happy when I discovered this beauty. It has stand - out written all over it, don't you think? Oh, did I mention that it was only £1?

It is a great thrown on jacket, so I threw it on over a black, strappy chiffon dress and a pair of black and white aztec boots, not forgetting a bright pink pout (Sheena standard).

As spring has finally sprung, I am super excited to put away all things winter (goodbye, chunky knitwear and heavy faux fur coats) and dig out all things spring (hello, lightweight knitwear, strappy, print dresses, and lots and lots of colour; bright and pastels). I have a few events and fun stuff coming up this month, and I am back to blogging more regularly, so be sure to keep an eye on the blog and the social media accounts, Twitter and Instagram and Facebook

All black everything...

Ummm, so after weeks of trying to block out that it is Christmas very soon, I am now grabbing it by the horns and embracing it. Now don't get me wrong, I love Christmas but the last few months (as other freelancers probably can relate) has been manic. As a result my blog (my fashion baby), has been a little neglected, but I am now back and ready to get my blogging on!!

So look out for more regularly blogging this week.

I wore this black ensemble on Saturday night out- cocktails and nibbles anyone?
I rarely wear black from head to toe, but recently I have been having a huge love affair with everything black!!

I snapped up this maxi, mesh panel number months ago, when H&M were having one of their 25% off (in collaboration with Grazia), so I only paid a very a debit card friendly price of £9.99 (bargain baby).

As Tis' is the season to partyyyyy, I am pretty sure this black beauty will have a few more outings.

Kimono- tastic

I picked this Kimono up a few months ago, I wore  it for a few hours, then forgot about it. I only re discovered it the other day when I came across a picture I took of it for a potential blog post (due to the crazy price tag and the pure fabulosity of it). I didn't get round to writing it; don't ask me why as I don't even know.

So now that we have been reacquainted, allow me to introduce you to this lush kimono that I paid a whooping..... £3 for, yes £3, in the H&M sale. The funny thing is I bought this after I just had finished eating a overpriced but yummy lunch from Pret that costed me £6.

I am going to let you in on a secret, this kimono was hiding in the lingerie department, so it is really a lingerie type of kimono, but I won't tell anyone if you don't, deal? As I am Krazy about this Kimono.

So thoughts on the kimono?

My bargain of the week: shine bright like a ....

I think every gal should own a metallic item, whether  it is a fab metallic skirt or a fierce pair of metallic shoes. Why? well in my opinion working a metallic item into your outfit instantly takes an outfit from drag to glam without too much effort or time, and lets face it who has any time; especially in the mornings (or is that just me?). This is is why I was beyond excited to stumble across these metallic beauties, so much so I ended up wearing them that same day, well night as I was invited to a last minute thing.

Metallic fabrics/accessories are not only for after dark! they can easily been worn in the day time. Case in point, I wore these shiny delights to lunch yesterday, teamed with a cute pink dress. That's the other great thing about metallic, they can complement a bold colour block dress nicely.

With all that said let me present  you with my newest shoe addition which is also this week's bargain of the week.

WAS: £29.99

NOW: £7

Purple popping pout!

I wore this outfit last week to an over due catch up lunch with a group of friends. On this day the sun was shining hard and like many Londoners desperate for some warm weather, I was fooled by the sun shining hard against my window. So much so I stepped out of the house wearing only my gilet over a metallic top and jumper. I regretted my choice the second I stepped one heel out of the door and I mean seconds! I quickly woke up and ran back home to get my bumble bee aka one my warmest faux fur coats, that was definitely the best decision I made that day.

Although seriously when are we going to have some real spring weather? Answers on a postcard please. Spring is definitely taking its sweet time BUT if we allow ourselves to trust the weather man, word is that we are due to get some spring weather this weekend, Yay!

Anyway no more weather talk. Lets focus on more important things like my lippy. I have had this purple lipstick for ummm, about 2 months, I recently rediscovered it and I have been wearing it a lot! It is from Sleek MakeUp and costs only £4.99. I do love to wear a bright lip as it just adds a bit of fun to any outfit.

Bright lips are a key beauty trend for SS13 but I guess not for the faint hearted. The trick is to find the right shade for your skin tone and then you are sorted.

I will confess that I do own a ridiculously bright shade of orange that I am saving for the right occasion and I guess the right outfit, AND I am sure I also own a blue-purple shade but lets save that for another blog post.

What do you think of my purple popping pout? would you rock purple lipstick?

Pure Jeanuis!

Happy Monday! Ha, I only say that as the sun is shining as I normally hate Mondays. Now don't get it twisted I am well aware that it is still cold lol but after weeks of London town being so damn cold; the snow and icy, annoying weather we had a few weeks ago and then rain before that or was it after?! it was nice to wake up and see the sun beaming through my window!!

Call me crazy but I took a chance and left home today with out a coat, but that was due to the fact that my meetings were close to home and that as I had a day off I would be back before the temperature drops.

I teamed my beloved black roll neck (which I have become slightly attached to lately) layered under  a sequin number, boyfriend jeans and a pair of kick- ass shoes that had there first outing today!!

You will rarely catch me in jeans but there are days, like today when I quite fancied wearing them.  Denim is set to be a huge trend for SS13 ranging from skinny to flare to slim leg. How will you be wearing yours?

Bargain-istic bad boy

Regular readers of my blog will know that one thing I love is a OMG bargain!! I am a firm believer that  with clever buying i.e knowing which items to splurge on coupled with having the fashion bargain eye to be able to spot a true bargain can result in a great outfit, for a price that can be as cheap as a daily travel card (FYI- £7.70 last time I checked but no doubt this has gone up, arrggh).

This outfit below cost a total of £60.98

I am madly in love with my Orange Vintage, mohair coati-gan! it is so warm over-sized and I just love the brightness of the colour and the detail. I almost did not buy this as I was umming and arring for about hour as I wasn't sure if it  was a bit too 'over-sized' for my petite frame. Haa I swear I was driving the sales assistant and shop owner mad. In the end they kindly gave me this beauty for £25 (it was originally priced at £40). I skipped away with my new purchase with the biggest smile on my face.

My floppy hat is from H&M, I fell in love with the Oxblood colour way that I purchased last year and blogged about here

This was my first outfit for 2013. I wore this on the first day back to work, followed by dinner after work. (FYI- I did not leave the house on New Years day... umm sore head any one?)

Do you love a bargain? What is one of your latest bargains/best bargains to date? Holla at me as I would love to know.

Thoughts on my barganistic outfit? x

haaa excuse the funny facial expression

Elbows at the ready.....

I spy with my fashion eye  a gorgeous red, hitched up dress, a HOT pair of mirror-ball leggings, must-have-now invisible wedge ankle boots, knee high boots and shoes and lots of draping and deconstructed shapes. Yes, I am talking about the look book photos of the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection, which I  must admit had me drooling over my cereal this morning!

After months of no images being released today was a good day (well yesterday thanks to Grazia mag although I only opened my mag this morning), Images from this exciting collaboration were FINALLY revealed, yay!!

I have been eagerly waiting for photos since ummmm June, when I first blogged about this fab collab for Tha-One.com here.  FYI- up until 2 days ago I was a fashion writer for Tha-one.com but now I can reveal that I am now Online Fashion Editor, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pics of my fave pieces are below, what are your favourites?

Animal print love!!

Ooh don't you love rediscovering a fab item in your wardrobe? Last week I 'found' this dress in my wardrobe, squashed right at the back! It was just at the right time when I was faffing, trying to decide what to wear for a lunch date with the girls. As you can see I was VERY happy that I 'found'  this Animal print beautie.

I teamed my animal print maxi with my fave studded leather Jacket. (Excuse my rail at the back ground)

I love how glam this dress makes me feel! its light and floaty and really long so I wore my John Rocha  high boots. The picture of  me wearing the boots came out really blurry so I have not included it.
I defo need a new camera!!!!

Skipping out of the house to meet the girls, I must admit I was feeling pleased with my wardrobe find but  then 2  things occurred to me:
1-I think its time I do a spring clear out... infact it's way over due!!!!!!
2-I hope it doesn't rain.
