The coolest Vintage brand on the block

A few months ago I discovered a cool brand; The Pretty Junk, and as I was so happy  with this discovery I  had to spread the love  as it would be so wrong to keep  this  awesome discovery to myself. So I wrote a blog post about The Pretty Junk for www.Tha-one.com ; one of the weekly sites that I write for. Check out my post  here Tha-one.com

The Pretty Junk have recently released their late summer Look book collection – Let’s Just Run Away which of course consists of lots of scrumptious items.  I just love the way this look book has been shoot, it’s fun, eye catching and cheeky. The models are cute, the location is great,  I LOVE that the models are on skate boards. So much so I found myself  reminiscing  to when I used to skate around on one back in the day (when I was a kid) but my mum wouldn’t let me get one. Hmm I wonder if I can get one on eBay.  Anyway see for yourself what I mean below.

All items from the collection are available to buy now. Visit www.theprettyjunk.com

Head turning heels

Nicholas Kirkwood is one of my all time favourite footwear designers!!!   I have just had a look at his collaboration with Erdem and I am seriously drooling over these printed silk leather boots. Come on, you must admit that these boots are fan-ta-bulous! ( yes, this is a made up word: a combination of  fabulous and fantastic as one of these words simply was not enough to describe my  LOVE for these beauties).

JUST look at the heel, the beautiful print, the avant-garde silhouette; WOW!!!!! Once again Mr Nicholas Kirkwood I tip my hat to you!!!

Hmm now I just need to get a pay rise or maybe sell some stuff or save some pennies on travel and walk to work, eat beans on toast for a month to afford these boots. lol! *sigh*

My Bargain of the week

As a girl with a serious addiction to a fabulous heel, I screeched with excitement when I stumbled across these shoes, which is this weeks  'my bargain of the week'.

Grey cap toe suede shoes

Topshop

Was £62 NOW £15

I  love cap toe shoes  and  I have wanted a pair for a while so you can imagine my delight when I saw these shoes on sale. I have a feeling that I will be wearing these heels A LOT!! They are 'comfy' and will go with  many items. Ooohhhh I am thinking black cigarette pants and a peplum top, big rings (as always) and pink lipstick.  Look out for  future posts of me wearing these cap toe delightful heels.

Purple Rain

Purple has always been one of my favourite colours so it is great that it is also one of the KEY colours for AW12. If you think back to the AW12 catwalk collections, for Designers such as House of Holland, Christopher Kane and Erdem, they were all pushing purple in their collections.

Christopher Kane AW12

Erdem AW12 and AW12 Nicholas Kirkwood for Erdem footwear

The best way to wear purple for AW12 I think is to mix it up with black and play with various textures such as lace, brocade and lots of sparkle. I do also love to wear purple with mustard as I love to clash it up as I am not really into looking too matchy, matchy.

I was recently sent a few clutch bags by a great brand called Etui. Both the clutch bags you see in the photo above are from Etui. The large croc skin ' Envelope' Clutch is one of their best sellers, The bag comes in 4 or 5 other colours and is priced at £79. Etui is a concession in Topshop Oxford Circus and Westfield. They are one of the best selling concessions in topshop and have a wide range of gorgeous bags. The company is owned by a Polish-English couple, and all bags are designed and produced in the UK.

Clutches are key accessory trend for AW12 so if you are after a new clutch or just a gorgeous bag that is a little different then I would recommend popping down to Etui. I can pretty much guarantee that A) you will LOVE your purchase and B) you will be thanking me later.

These boots are made for walking

Yesterday on the tube on my way back from meeting friends for lunch, I noticed the HOTTEST pair of boots that were on the feet of a girl sat right opposite me. Now I will confess I did find myself staring at these boots so hard that I think I made the poor girl feel uncomfortable. (opps) So in a bid not to come across as an odd -ball I politely asked her where she bought the beautiful boots from. I also apologised for my dribbling and starring and explained my addiction to beautiful footwear!! Luckily she understood as she had the same problem. We then spent the next few stops discussing fashion and shoes and she quite liked the shoes I had on; purple heeled brogues.

So where were her boots from? Zara and she had only just bought these bad boys last week, so I thanked her and jumped off the tube and headed straight to Zara. This worked out nicely as I have been meaning to pop into Zara for the past 2 weeks as I wanted to view the AW12 collection as I’ve seen photos of SO many lust-haves. As well as successfully managing to find these boots in the Zara store I also came across many other yummy pieces (blog to follow).

These are the boots that drove me wild aka the boots that the girl on the tube had on her feet!

Studded ankle boots, £119 (also available in Black)
