BAD ASS Booties

After a long day working, applying for jobs and the rest I was feeling a bit grrrr until I came across these UH-MAZING, boots that I really MUST have!!!!!!!!!!!

I am really feeling all things gold and metallic at the moment. I do have a gold vintage pair of boots but they are more of a "run around" boot, so I really do want a pair that I can rock in the evening. These BAD ASS boots have my name written ALL over them. I would wear these boots with leather leggings or burgundy velvet shorts.

I now just need to find the money so I can buy these boots as the last time I checked my bank balance I almost broke out in a sweat LOL!

The Pink Mothballs Launch Party

So last Saturday night I was kindly invited to the launch party of Pink mothballs, an exciting new app that allows girls to borrow and lend clothes with friends. I was first made aware of this app a few months ago when a friend had retweeted a tweet about the launch of this app. I can't remember the exact words but the reweet caught my eye as it mentioned something about that annoying feeling of never having anything to wear, which I SO can relate to.

I followed Pink mothballs immediately and discovered the founder behind it was a cool chick called Amanda; I went on her blog and was hooked by the concept of pink mothballs.

Like many chicas I have a ram jam wardrobe(s ) but I still ALWAYS find myself complaining to any one who will listen that I do not have anything to wear.

My Outfit

I chose to wear the HOTTEST pair of baroque leggings from one of my FAVE vintage brands; The Pretty Junk, I swear, I have fallen in love with these leggings and I didn't not want to TAKE THEM OFF!!!

The rest of my outfit: Studded boots, Topshop: Rings Topshop: Bag: Oxfam, Shaggy fur jacket: Vintage, Head Chain: Celianna.com

The Launch party

The launch part took place in a nice bar in North London called Love and Liquor, the room was decorated in all things pink (right up my street), I'm talking pink balloons and pink lamp shades. On arrival guests were greeted by a lovely girl that handed out "win £200 to spend on some new garmz' card that was of course pink, a pink mothballs goody bag and a rather tasty pink cocktail.

Other treats on the night:

-Two tables full of sweets,
-Pink n mix old skool style,
- A topless guy (with a very fit body) who was rocking a "pink mothball" chain
- And my FAVOURITE  treat was the most epic cake I've ever seen.  A humongous cake that was in the form of a wardrobe.

"Ooh Hello"

THE CAKE

Lovely Blogger Jo from The GladRags

Amanda then gave a speech/presentation about the app, which included a humorous and engaging screening about how pink mothballs all came about. I have always admired people who have the balls to chase their  dream. Amanda is very inspiring and  Pink mothballs is such a great idea as it appeals to a wide range of age groups, more so now than ever due to dare I say it.... the  recession, we are all looking for ways to save the pennies without compromising our style obvs.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fun filled, pink event; I met lots of cool fellow bloggers and some of Amanda's friends who were super lovely. I walked away with two thoughts:

1-  How incredibly tasty the cake was
2- And wondering how long it took to make

Pink mothballs is so going to blow up, I hope Amanda is ready

QUEEN of Swag

Those that know me will know that I have mad love for Solange Knowles!! Her style is fun, fearless, quirky and always seems so effortless. She is my ultimate style icon!!

I love what she wore to the Cavalli show in Milan. She ROCKED a yummy Roberto Cavalli Resort blazer (*dribble*) and  a pair of "WOW" Christian Louboutin sandals on the front row, as she next to the oh so cool Azealia Banks who looked quite funky in her green leopard print dress and mesh creepers.

Solange you are the QUEEN of swag!!!!

Read all about it

2 weeks ago I was interviewed by a journalist about the new trend in hiring gorgeous designer frocks at affordable prices.

The dress that I was referencing was a stunning colour block  maxi dress by Tibi. As soon as I saw this dress I was dribbling (literally), I mean just look at the back of the dress... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This dress is from an am-azing designer hire company called Wish Want Wear

My bargain of the week is back

So after a 3 week break.... 'My bargain of the week' is back! As well as a being a massive lover of shoes, rings, faux fur and sequins I do love a nice, scrumptious hat!!

Now I will confess that I have not always been a lover of hats. I used to admire them from a far and then walk on by but back in February when I joined a company where one of the brands were gorgeous hats, I fell in love and I am now a proud hat wearing lover. I own a few and I had been after a new hat so imagine my delight when I saw this beauty.

I picked up this hat from H&M for a purse string friendly price of £12.99 I love how it just instantly lifts my outfit. The colour is gorge and a popular colour this season. I like that on the trim around the rim of the hat there are 2 small gold leaves.

My new hat had its first outing last Friday; it came out for dinner with me, two of my favourite girls and one of their boyfriends (who kindly took my pictures, thanks Will)

What do you think?

I need a pick me up

Can you feel that chill in the air? Autumn is definitely here, grr!!  and I for one am not happy about it. I mean to be fair I do love A/W fashion as I can rock all my faux fur jackets, coats etc but it's just the dark nights and the drop in temperature that is tough but hey ho, no point in complaining lol!

I am in need of a pick me today, pay day is still far away, I cant seem to completely shake off this cold so I am walking around with tissues (how glam!) SO after work today I am taking myself (and my pack of tissues) to Topshop to buy some rings.

Now those that know me will know that I LOVE me some rings!! the wackier the better, the larger the better. I like to wear 4 or 5 at a time. For me leaving the house with out wearing rings is like being naked and I really do feel that rings can add a edge or that fun factor to any outfit. I own so many rings BUT I haven't bought a new one in a while. I have had a peak on the toppers website and I know exactly what I am after. Below are some (and I mean some) of the rings that I have my eyes on.

You might notice that a few of the selected rings below have a theme in common.... crosses. Yes, i'm a tad obsessed with crosses at the moment.

I will let you know which rings I ended up buying later.

On the mend and back in action

Firstly sorry for the lack of blogging,  last week I caught a silly cold, grrrrr and I spent pretty much of last week going to work all drugged up on Day and Night nurse and then straight home and straight to bed. Friday I was feeling 80% better and then 'Bam' the next day I was poisoned by (god knows what I ate) so I was vomiting non stop. BUT I feel better today, I am on the mend and I am back in action. I have lots to blog about this week so keep both your eyes peeled.

I hope you have been enjoying LFW! Some of my fave shows so far have to be Matthew Williamson, Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou and Topshop Unique. Oh and Ive just finished watching the Burberry show LIVE. Ha- no I didn't get a ticket (but hoping one day I will ), Grazia live and Burberry.com were streaming the show live on the Grazia website. It was such a fab show. Think: Cropped Trenches, cocoon jackets and short shorts (right up my street) and I just loved the finale; a spectrum of metallic trench coats.... BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

What have been your favourite shows so far?
