Just add sequins

Take one vintage top, my ever so trusty pair of boyfriend jeans and one pair of fierce shoes and this what you get:

Outfit
Top- Shrug worn back to front, Vintage
Boyfriend jeans, J by Jasper Conran (Debenhams)
Shoes, Topshop
Bag, J&P available at Topshop

As a gal who loves to wear sequins all year round, I dug out this top to wear to brunch and cocktails (did someone say dry January?) last weekend. I last wore this top back in 2012 which was featured here
I will confess that I only remembered I had this top when I stumbled across an old picture of me wearing it, 2 years ago! This promoted me to add to my 'list of things to do in January', a ' keep one whole weekend free to do a SERIOUS wardrobe (s) clear/sort out'.  It is LONG overdue to be honest....I might actually do a blog post about it as I have a feeling I will 'find' lots of hidden gems along with things I no longer need (I am the worst hoarder ever).

As January is 'no money month', I will definitely sell some bits on ebay or take them down to my fave vintage/exchange shop:bangbang. Watch this space.

xx

Happy 2014!!

Happy New Year!!

Wow! 2014!!!  I always find the start of a new year quite strange. It's exciting and scary (?) at the same time. It's sort of a chance to 'start again',  learn from the mistakes experiences from the previous year and of course, there I say it make some resolutions. I stumbled across this quote/image by Oprah (love this woman), on Pinterest and I had to feature it in my first 2014 post as it pretty much sums up all what I have just said about the start of a new year.

Do I have any resolutions? Hell yes! a list that includes a mixture of blogging goals, career goals, health and diet improvements, oh and a few style resolutions. Now let's just hope I can actually keep them!

What are some of your 2014 resolutions xx

Happy Fabulous Christmas

So the big day is almost here. With only 3 sleeps until Christmas 2013, I would like to take some time to wish all those who have read my blog and supported me along this crazy but exciting fashion journey, a very fabulous Christmas!!!

How am I spending it? With the family, eating wayyyy to much turkey, chocolate, mince pies, drinking mulled wine and the rest and dancing  around the Christmas tree. I am also having to work in between Christmas which is a shame BUT hey ho, it could be much worse.... somehow....

I am thinking of doing a sort of mini review of 2013 as this year has been one heck of a year, full of many ups but also downs but let's see.

Have a good week xx

All black everything...

Ummm, so after weeks of trying to block out that it is Christmas very soon, I am now grabbing it by the horns and embracing it. Now don't get me wrong, I love Christmas but the last few months (as other freelancers probably can relate) has been manic. As a result my blog (my fashion baby), has been a little neglected, but I am now back and ready to get my blogging on!!

So look out for more regularly blogging this week.

I wore this black ensemble on Saturday night out- cocktails and nibbles anyone?
I rarely wear black from head to toe, but recently I have been having a huge love affair with everything black!!

I snapped up this maxi, mesh panel number months ago, when H&M were having one of their 25% off (in collaboration with Grazia), so I only paid a very a debit card friendly price of £9.99 (bargain baby).

As Tis' is the season to partyyyyy, I am pretty sure this black beauty will have a few more outings.

Thoughts on the outfit?

Mafia style

Last month I assisted a very FAB stylist, on a Mafia themed fashion shoot for Style Noir magazine.

This was my first menswear shoot and I loved every second of it!  Here are one of the snaps from the shoot (courtesy of style noir magazine)

The magazine is on sale now :)
